About the foundations 2

Since its creation in 1999, Kurling for Kids has been solely dedicated to supporting the two Mother & Child hospitals in Montreal equally, namely the CHU Sainte-Justine and Montreal Children's Hospital. Both institutions are highly renowned as well as regarded as world-class leaders in pediatric healthcare. Both have also set up foundations to leverage private funds to better achieve their mission either through the acquisition of medical equipment or the funding of special projects. Kurling for Kids has been enjoying a very solid partnership with both foundations for more than two decades and envisions no less than continue doing so for the foreseeable future.

In 2020, Kurling for Kids has extended its reach to include CHU Sherbrooke and all funds raised in events held in the Eastern Townships of Quebec will be used to purchase equipment for the pediatrics, maternity and neonatology departments at the Fleurimont Hospital of CIUSSS in Estrie – CHUS. Kurling for Kids is very pleased to be able to partner with the Fondation du CHUS with the goal of raising money to heal sick children in the region.  This is a very important first step that Kurling for Kids is taking to become a province-wide, and ultimately a nation-wide, curling fundraiser on behalf of children’s hospitals, first across Quebec, and then Canada.

Our mission is to mobilize the community and support Sainte-Justine UHC in its mission in order to provide the children of today and tomorrow with one of the hightest levels of healthcare in the world.
Our mission is to support excellence in care at the Montreal Children's Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre. The objective is attained by contributing to the advancement of teaching and research and by purchasing cutting-edge medical equipment.
The Foundation of CHUS, a non-profit and independent philantrhopic organization, acts as a privileged partner in the advancement and development of the Fleurimont Hospital, the Hôtel-Dieu de Sherbrooke and the CHUS Research Center. Its mission is to contribute to the continuous improvement of health care and services offered to the population, from birth to the end of life, by supporting equipment acquisition, research, prevention, training projects and humanization of care.
