K4K 2022 Event Status

A Message from Stan Fong, Kurling for Kids Director

Normally at this time of year the Kurling for Kids campaign is in full force. After canceling the 2020 and 2021 curling events, Kurling for Kids was hit hard, and donations were not as they have been in past years.

For the 2022 campaign, we are certainly hoping to get back on the ice and get back to the event that we love and enjoy so much!

With that being said, Kurling for Kids is proud to announce that we are setting a date of Saturday April 9th, 2022, to get back on the ice at participating clubs, and raise money for kids!

After discussing with several of the hospitals we support, and looking at other fundraising campaigns and charities, we are moving forward! Obviously, this is all dependent upon restrictions being lifted and being able to host an event. We will continue to monitor the situation and cross our fingers that we can get back on the ice.

How will the 2022 K4K campaign work? In addition to the on-ice event, we’re planning several awesome monthly events including our popular craft fair, hosting our 2nd annual golf tournament in the summer, and many other great events! It all culminates with our main raffle ticket draw on November 5, 2022 with our usual lineup of amazing prizes, including a trip for 2 to anywhere WestJet flies! Visit our website for more information and how to participate in our exciting campaign events!

We encourage participants and fundraisers to register on our newly updated website and start fundraising, and then take part in one or more of the many great events we have planned!

Last year, Kurling for Kids helped raise funds for hospitals in Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Baie Comeau, Sherbrooke, and right here in Montreal! Kurling for Kids started in Quebec and expanded to Ontario and Alberta, but the goal is to one day help support children’s hospitals across our great country. You can help make this happen!
