Pavillon Caramel - building a special home away from home to keep families close to their sick children

Kurling for Kids has committed to multi-year funding for the funding of a room in the brand new Pavillon Caramel scheduled to open in September 2023. Pavillon Caramel will offer all the comforts of home, just steps away from The Children’s Hospital. Amenities will include six private rooms with bathrooms, a common kitchen and family area and an outside terrace. Hundreds of families will be served each year, from as far away as Nunavik.

Kurling for Kids will be contributing to Pavillon Caramel with a gift of $250,000 and in turn will be offered the opportunity to name one of the private rooms.
A plaque bearing the name Kurling for Kids will be installed next to the room in the common corridor.

It is estimated that up to 500 families will benefit from the Pavillon Caramel each year.

Pavillon Caramel

The first and only residence in Montreal offering free accommodations for parents of hospitalized children.

With your generous support, The Children’s Foundation will soon open a facility on the corner of St. Catherine Street and Claremont, to house parents of sick children facing long stays at The Montreal Children’s Hospital. It will be located adjacent to the Foundation’s new offices.

Thanks to your generous contribution and the support of other likeminded donors, funding for Pavillon Caramel is almost complete.

The total commitment from K4K is $250,000 and the balance remaining to be funded as of March 9, 2023 is $193,777.57.
