Financing of equipment for the transport service of neonatology and inter-hospital pediatrics - i-STAT Alinity

Kurling for Kids has committed to directing all funds raised in Sherbrooke through the K4K event to the transport service of neonatology and inter-hospital pediatrics.

The i-STAT Alinity is a device that analyzes the blood of seriously ill children that we collect with our pediatric and neonatal inter-hospital transport teams. These tests can be done at the child's bedside (including in the ambulance) which allows us to get the result more quickly.

The results allow us to adjust our treatments and provide the best possible care for these children who will be transported to an intensive care unit.

We estimate that 50 children a year could benefit from it from this device.

Unit cost: $ 14,000
