Kurling for Kids is a community fundraising event dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families by raising funds to allow children's hospitals to provide leading-edge medical treatments, programs and equipment which would otherwise be out of reach.

Kurling for Kids participants curl and fundraise in events together toward one common goal - providing better care for children in the largest single-day, volunteer-led curling fundraising event in Canada in support of children's hospitals.

The 2025 main event takes place on Saturday April 5th, 2025 although some clubs/regions may host their events on a different day. Check out the complete Events and Fundraisers of events taking place in 2025!

Kurling for Kids takes place in different curling clubs and corporate locations in all across Canada.

Currently K4K curling events are held in Quebec and Manitoba with fundraising events in Ontario and Alberta and we are always on the lookout for new clubs, corporate events and hospitals to join our event.

Kurling for Kids is an entirely volunteer driven event including all of the board members, club ambassadors and countless volunteers who generously give their time and efforts at each of our member clubs.

The incredible efforts of our volunteers helps to keep costs down, which directs more money to Kurling for Kids to fund leading-edge medical treatments, programs and life-saving equipment for the children!

Not at all, you can participate in K4K in many different ways, as a participant in one of our many events throughout the year, as a fundraiser, or as a volunteer. Kurling for Kids welcomes adults and children of all ages to take part in a K4K event. You do not need to be a curler or a member of a club to participate, you just need a desire to raise funds for your local children's hospital. Kurling for Kids is an excellent way to be introduced to the sport of curling and raise funds for a very worthy cause.

Can’t find an event near you? If you are unable to participate in one of our scheduled events, you can still help the children by registering as a Host Your Own Fundraiser. Register as a team or as an individual and gain access to our easy-to-use fundraising tools available on our Online Participant Centre. Not only will you be helping to fund equipment that can save and improve lives of children treated at your local children's hospital, you will also be eligible for fantastic Fundraising Rewards prizes!

No, you can register as a FUNDRAISER only and raise funds for your local children's hospital.

All you need to do is select the location where you would like your funds to be applied (i.e. which hospital), select "Fundraiser - Register as a fundraiser" and you can start your fundraising right away.

And if you change your mind after registering, you can always go back to review the available events and convert your entry from a fundraiser to a participant at any time.

We would love to welcome your company or organization to K4K!

Here's how you can get involved if you're with a company or organization: Determine how you and your colleagues would like to raise funds. Some ideas are to do an online Bingo or Trivia game and all funds raised would go to your local children's hospital.

You can also join one a K4K scheduled event as a Corporate team and gain extra exposure for your company/organization.

If you have not reached your minimum amount by December 1st of the K4K Fundraising year, you will be asked to donate the difference to reach the personal minimum fundraising total of $200. This donation will be tax receiptable.

We encourage all participants in our events to try to raise as much money as they can. When you put your mind to it you will be amazed how much you can raise for a cause that helps to improve the lives of our sick kids.

If you're looking for ways to kickstart your fundraising, one great way is to make a donation to your personal fundraising page which will demonstrate your commitment and encourage others to make donations as well. And we’re here to help you! Once you register for K4K, we’ll send you coaching emails to help you meet and exceed your fundraising goal and you will have access to amazing fundraising tools in the participant center which will make it easy to raise funds. Every year, hundreds of people just like you raise hundreds and thousands of dollars individually and there’s no reason you can’t too! Kurling for Kids' strength has always been in numbers and every dollar raised adds up very fast - that's how we have been able to raise $5 million in our history!

And if you can raise $300 or more it opens up a whole bunch of incentive Fundraising Rewards for you!

The money raised goes towards the purchase of critical needs equipment, treatments or programs for children's hospitals and all funds raised in your region will go to the children's hospital in your region.

Yes. The Foundation's charitable number is 83329 5249 RR0001. When you donate to K4K, you will receive a tax receipt for any monetary donation of $20 or more. A tax receipt is not given if you purchase a raffle ticket.

K4K does not canvass door-to-door. Nor, do we encourage participants to solicit funds by door-to-door canvassing, and most certainly not during pandemics.

Some K4K club events may have participants fundraise in their communities as part of their fundraising efforts for their events.

If you are approached by a fundraiser who states that they are raising money for Kurling for Kids, please follow this advice:

• If you know and trust the fundraiser and you want to make a donation, please donate by giving the fundraiser a cheque made out to the Kurling for Kids. Do not give cash.

• If the fundraiser is unknown to you and you want to support Kurling for Kids, please visit our website at www.kurlingforkids.org for donation options.

• If you are suspicious of a fundraiser, please contact your local police department as soon as possible.

No. K4K will not share your information with any outside agencies, organizations or individuals without prior consent or, if the disclosure is permitted or required by law. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy

Absolutely! After the event, you will be given a statement outlining your volunteer hours during our event.

There are many ways you can make a donation.

Make a donation to a participant, team, club or the main event online Donate.

If someone you know is participating in Kurling for Kids and you'd like to support their fundraising efforts, making an online gift is quick and easy!

Click on DONATE and type in the name of the participant in the individual field.

When you find the participant you are looking for, click on their name which will bring you to their personal fundraising page and then click on DONATE NOW.

Don't want to make a donation online? Give your donation to the person, team or club you want to sponsor and they'll fill out an Pledge Sheet (for offline tax receipts) - EXCEL DOC for you.

If you donate online to a team, to yourself, another participant, a club or the main event you will automatically receive an electronic tax receipt by email.

Kurling for Kids will begin issuing manual tax receipts for offline donations throughout the fundraising year and following the raffle draw each year.

They will be distributed no later than February 28th of the calendar year that follows the year of the donation.

Offline donations are cash or cheques received during your fundraising which are not entered online.

Cash funds collected as part of your Kurling for Kids fundraising be sent to us by e-transfer using the email address info@kurlingfokids.org including a note with your name.

You can also choose to hand in funds received to your registration desk on the day of your event. Envelopes will be available for you on the day of your event for you to document all funds raised and hand them in to your registration desk. After we will update your personal fundraising page with your tally and your contributions will be counted in our grand total!"

Yes you can and this will ensure your online fundraising totals are up-to-date. It’s as simple as clicking on the Donate button and filling in the Donor’s name, email and address information. Then you complete the transaction with your credit card.

Any offline donations entered by participants will automatically be reflected in their fundraising thermometers. Note that these donations will only be confirmed by the system administrator when all funds have been handed in and confirmed. This will be completed by the end of December at the end of each K4K year.

Online donations will be reflected automatically once a donation is made and completed.

The 2025 K4K Raffle draw is scheduled for 7pm on September 27, 2025.

The draw will take place at the Otterburn Legion Memorial Curling Club.

The entire draw will be filmed and posted live on the K4K FACEBOOK page. All winners will be notified by phone shortly after the draw

The list of all the winners will be published after the draw on the Home Page of our website kurlingforkids.org and on the Kurling for Kids FACEBOOK page.

Tickets are available online and in paper form until September 27, 2025 inclusively.

No worries, for online ticket purchases we are distributing raffle tickets purchased online by email. We will have a copy of all tickets sold and there are no problems if you lose the email with your ticket. We identify the winners based on identification that confirm their names and addresses, recorded on the ticket stub completed at the time of purchase.

If you have lost a paper ticket, please contact us at info@kurlingforkids.org as we will have to verify with the ticket seller.

Following your transaction, you will receive an email confirming your raffle ticket purchase. Your ticket will be added to the K4K raffle bin and you will receive a scan of your raffle ticket(s) by email within 2-3 days.

Yes, when you purchase tickets one of the fields you must complete is “who are you buying tickets from”, simply select the name of the person who you wish to purchase tickets from and your transaction will be processed and the K4K participant will be advised.

If you cannot find the name of the K4K participant, you can indicate the name in the field “Can’t find the name of the K4K participant”.

If the ticket purchase is simply to sponsor Kurling for Kids simply select Purchase from Main Event and Kurling for Kids will be in contact with you directly.

Not immediately. Tickets which are purchased on-line will appear in the K4K participant’s personal fundraising thermometer as well as the overall event thermometer within 24 – 48 hours of purchase.

You can register as a participant/curler or as a fundraiser. Registration options are:

• K4K Participant: $75 registration fee which includes a $25 income tax receipt and requires $200 fundraising minimum. Note that your registration counts toward your fundraising total.

• K4K Team: $300 registration fee which includes a $100 income tax receipt and requires $600 fundraising minimum per team.

• Kurling for Kids Fundraiser: no registration fee or minimum in fundraising and you are eligible for all Fundraising Rewards

• Corporate Team - $2,000 registration fee and no minimum in fundraising, although you are definitely encouraged to fundraise more if you like! See more details here.

It's ok if you purchase tickets to a monthly event first, and then register as a fundraiser, but you MUST be registered prior to the date of any virtual events for which you have purchased tickets.

Absolutely! You can register and buy tickets for the virtual events for someone else. You can register as many people as you'd like, but you need to register everyone with their own unique email address.

Choose your Kurling for Kids location from OUR LOCATIONS and go to the LOGIN screen to recover your username and/or password. Click on USERNAME or PASSWORD depending on what you have forgotten, follow the steps and your username or password will be emailed to you.

Search for any of your registered teammates, click on their name, and then you will be able to select JOIN TEAM

From the same page, you could also do a search of all existing teams.

Unfortunately no as the event needs to be scheduled and setup for all registered participants so make sure to register in advance. It's better for you because you'll have more time to reach your fundraising goal.

K4K registration fee is $75 and participants must raise a minimum of $200. Please note that your $75 registration fee counts toward your $200 fundraising goal so once you have registered, you are only required to raise $125 more! Of course we encourage everyone to try to raise as much as possible as it's all for the children.

**Note if applicable at your event, a portion of K4K raffle ticket sales may be used to cover costs so that all of the money received in donations is fully used to help change the lives of children.

This is what Kurling for Kids is all about - Raising Funds for Children's Hospitals! We put the "FUN" in fundraising. Our strength has always been in our numbers and we strongly encourage all participants to fundraise and we’ll be here every step of the way to help you reach your goal! For each curling participant, the minimum fundraising amount is $200 (which includes your $75 registration fee) and we know that everyone will do their best to help raise even more funds for children's hospitals

You can also send it by email and it may be a good idea to let us know that your offline registration form is on its way by mailing us at info@kurlingforkids.org

Absolutely! By using the same username and password from the last time you participated in K4K, you will have access to all of your fundraising information including donors from previous years.

Note - to use the same username and password, you must follow the registration process, select your location Events and Fundraisers, click on on the REGISTER button at the top of the screen and then select your Location from the dropdown menu where you would like to participate.

Next you will be able to select ‘Individual Registration' if you are signing up as an individual, 'Join a Team' if you would like to join a team which already exists, or 'Create a Team' if you would like to be a captain of a new team.

Click CONTINUE and accept the legal waiver, and then on the top of the next screen which asks for all of your personal information, just make sure to click on RETURNING PARTICIPANT. Finally enter your username and password from a previous event, and you will have access to all of your fundraising information including donors from previous years.

The 5th Annual Montreal Kurling for Kids Golf Tournament is scheduled for August, 15, 2025.

The 3rd Annual Lennoxville Kurling for Kids Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 20, 2025.

The maximum number of participants per team is 5 for curling events. You can create a team on your own and your other team members can join your team afterwards.

Yes, any contribution of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt. As well it will count towards your team fundraising goal!

If a donor mistakenly donates to your team and would like to transfer the donation to an individual participant, the participant or donor can contact us by email at info@kurlingforkids.org to have it moved.

Be creative! Participants and teams join Kurling for Kids for many reasons; you may be participating in honour of a child who has been treated at your local children's hospital.

Yes, team names can be duplicated. However, to avoid having friends and family accidentally donate to the wrong team, we suggest making your team name as unique as possible.

Your personal fundraising page contains customizable tools for emailing friends and family, tracking online donations, team status, and much, much more. Your Personal Page serves as your main communication piece to tell your story, appeal for sponsorship, and show your fundraising progress. This page will automatically be made public as part of the campaign. Participants are able to customize content and images on their Personal Fundraising page. Studies have shown that participants who customize their personal pages receive more donations than those that don't.

Even if you are a returning participant, you must register for this year’s event first though so start first by selecting your Kurling for Kids location from our Events and Fundraisers page. Once you have selected your Kurling for Kids location, click on the REGISTER button at the top of the screen.

Once you have registered, LOGIN and let the fundraising begin!

If you are a returning participant, we’ve saved your personalized content from previous years so that you can reuse your images and messaging for this year. You can edit or update your image and messaging for this year by logging in and visiting your Fundraising Centre and personalizing your page.

Yes. If you registered as a Returning Participant with your previous username, all of your donor information will be available under the email contact section of your Fundraising Centre.

No. The privacy of our donors and participants is very important to Kurling for Kids and all volunteers cannot view or access your online information. Your information is confidential and is only accessible by entering your personal username and password, to which Kurling for Kids does not have access.

At registration, we ask participants a mandatory question if they would like to receive an incentive prize if they reach the fundraising level of $300 or more. Participants also have the option to "give back" which will allow K4K to give more to the hospitals.

No. The Fundraising Incentive level reached individually cannot be transferred to another participant.

No. Team fundraising totals are NOT eligible for Fundraising Incentives, and they do not count towards an individual’s fundraising total.

Please allow 8 – 12 weeks after the Kurling for Kids fundraising year-end on December 31st of each year for receipt of incentive prizes which will be delivered by mail or email to each participant.
