Who We Are

Kurling for Kids is a charity committed to enhancing the lives of children and their families in children’s hospitals. We work to raise funds that enable hospitals to offer advanced medical treatments, programs, and equipment enhancing the quality of care and helping young patients thrive.

After CHU Sainte-Justine saved their daughter Jessica’s life, Robert Sears and Sylvie Sanschagrin dedicated themselves to organizing an annual curling tournament to support Montreal children’s hospitals. In 1999, Kurling for Kids was officially born - a yearly event focused on raising funds for children and families facing similar challenges.

Kurling for Kids participants help by gathering donations from family and friends, selling raffle tickets and organizing affiliate events, with all proceeds supporting K4K. What began as a small gesture of gratitude has become a heartwarming event celebrating its 27th anniversary, having raised over $5 million.

Fundraising events like Kurling for Kids continue to be essential for children’s hospitals, giving families, friends, and supporters the chance to make a real impact on the lives of children in need.

2025 Campaign

On behalf of the Kurling for Kids Executive Committee, volunteers, curlers, fundraisers, and especially the children who benefit, we invite you to join us for K4K 2025! Starting with just $6,628 in 1999, K4K has grown, raising over $5 million in its 26-year history, including a record $565,000 in 2024. Despite pandemic challenges, we raised $1,125,000 from 2020-2023 and expanded to support five new children’s hospitals across Canada. This 27th anniversary year, we’re eager to partner with more clubs and organizations to support children’s hospitals nationwide. Every dollar raised in your region stays local, directly benefiting your nearest children’s hospital.

Our ambitious goal for 2025 is $600,000! We can only achieve this amount with your hard work and our participants’ fundraising efforts!
